Another weekend's close is upon us and I'm too exhausted to write a decent post. Nonetheless, here are a few photos from today.
We went to the park.
Fiona got bored after lunch and decided to destroy the living room by creating a "shop". Bored with the lack of customers, she decided it would be fun to have a lemonade stand. Great idea, I thought, secretly missing the days when both my children took naps at the same time. I had visions of a shower, but I was hopelessly drawn into the lemonade stand idea. We didn't have lemons, but we did have some Cherry Juicy Juice. Thus was born the Juice Stand. She made the sign, I made the juice and we waited.
Sammie also waited. But she was more interested in critters than customers.
Fiona made a killing, as our neighbors all came filing in for this refreshing and cheap (if you didn't opt for the 10 cents straw) drink. Total "profit": $5.25. By "profit", I mean what Fiona made in quarters. One day, which is not today, I will explain to her that by the time we figure the cost of juice, ice and time, we lost approximately $35.95. But we had fun. Which, as they say, is priceless.
When the sleepyhead Cyd finally woke up, we went for a ride/stroll on the trail.
Fiona was extremely mad that she had to wear a helmet.
Fiona crashed Cyd's car. No injuries.
We had our picnic dinner of quiche, pasta salad and grapes.
Cyd found an ant.
She REALLY wanted to kiss it.
It was a very friendly ant.
Not sure what we were thinking when we decided to share our coffee Haagen Dazs ice cream with the children.
And last, but not least: Laura's Cherry pie.
Peace out.
